Before joining HUST, Professor Bi did a postdoc in Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research in Germany. He is specialized in various areas of fluid mechanics, especially in  fluid-structure interaction, with both fundamental investigations and real-world applications. His research is  published in top-tier journals of the field.
