Dr. Jianwei Chen received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering & Automation from the Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2011. He received his S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical & Automation Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2012 and 2016, respectively. Following his graduation, he entered a post-doctoral fellowship in the Multiscale Precision Instrumentation Laboratory at CUHK, where his research focused on nanomanufacturing and micro-optical systems. Joining since 2018, he is presently an Associate Professor in the Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Now his is a member of “Visible Brainwide Networks” team developed by Prof. Qingming Luo, directing the precision design and system development. His current research interests include whole-brain optical imaging techniques, precision engineering, and nanomanufacturing. Dr. Chen is a member of the American Society for Precision Engineering (ASPE) and SPIE. He was awarded the First Place of Annual Competition of ASPE in 2014 and Grand Prize of “Innovation Project” at 「Challenge Cup」in 2016.
