My name is Binghui Deng, currently work as a professor at the Department of Materials Science and Technology at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). I earned my MS in Computer Science and PHD in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2017. Prior to joining HUST, I used to work for Corning Inc as a senior glass scientist, and Tesla Inc as a staff material engineer from early 2018 to early 2024. My research interests include computational mateirals science, machine learning, composition-structure-property relationship of oxide glass, glass-ceramics and metallic glass, predictive design of new glassy materials, and glass application in emerging fields, such as semiconductor packaging and electrical vehicles.
