Abstract:
Wuhan has got various typical environmental issues accompanied by the accelerating process of urbanization such as heat island effect and so on. Large-scale water, owning large heat capacity, temperature of which is significantly lower than that of city underlying surface in summer daytime, makes a great effect on the micro-climate of area along with it. Air temperature, humidity, solar radiation, surface temperature, wind velocity in a traditional block in Hankow were collected and analyzed to help understanding how river wind affects the micro-climate of the blocks along with Yangtze River quantitatively. CFD simulation was also carried out.
