1987年毕业于武汉大学物理系,获理学学士学位。1990年在中科院物理所攻读硕士学位，获理学硕士学位。1996年于中科院电工所获工学博士学位。1996-1999年在中科院等离子所从事博士后研究，研究内容为超导多芯线及超导电缆交流损耗的计算与测量。1999年至今在华中科技大学从事超导电力装置及超导应用技术方面的研究工作。
