Liu Gang, The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering(AIMBE Fellow), Specially-appointed Expert of China Association for Science and Technology, Bureau members of POCT, Senior Member of IEEE and member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), PhD in biomedical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He used to be a tenured associate professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is currently a distinguished professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests are focused on integrative bionanophotonic and mobile sensing technologies and devices for the applications of advanced biomanufacturing, bioimaging, non-invasive diagnostics and therapy, environmental health sensing and mobile health. As principal investigator, he supervises or participate in several  national scientific research projects. He has published over 70 SCI-indexed papers in highly qualified journals such as Nature Materials, Nature Methods, ACS Nano, Small etc.
