吕文中，教授， 华中科技大学光电学院副院长，教育部新世纪优秀人才。留学俄罗斯莫斯科大学和英国曼彻斯特大学，一直从事电子信息材料及相关元器件的研究，部分成果已得到应用或实现产业化。主持完成国家自然科学基金、863项目等20多项，在国内外高水平期刊上发表论文200余篇，授权发明专利近30项，获得国家科技进步二等奖及其它省部级奖励共5项，主编《电子材料物理（第二版）》教材一部，培养博士、硕士、外国留学生60多人。
