Three Dimensional Prediction Software of Wave Loads and Hydroelastic Responses (OpenWALAS)

Based on the three-dimensional potential flow theory in fluid mechanics, combined with the boundary element (BEM) and the superposition principle of structural vibration modes, the research group has independently developed a three-dimensional wave load and hydroelastic response numerical prediction software with nearly 100000 lines of C / C + + code. It can calculate the motion of ships and offshore platforms in waves, wave load, hydroelastic response, hydrodynamic pressure, long-term and short-term extreme value prediction, structural fatigue life spectrum analysis, including frequency domain and time domain, linear and nonlinear, finite water depth and infinite water depth, second-order QTF, etc. The software homepage is "openwalas. github. io", and you can freely download executable programs and related materials. The software breaks the monopoly of foreign software in this field and is in the advanced ranks in the world.
