Profile

Short Bio

Banban Wang is an Associate Professor at School of Economics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. Her research focuses on climate and energy economics and policies, in particular the ETS as a main field. Her research work in theory is to adapt the ETS with developing economies to lower uncertainties and stabilize prices. Besides, she is also interested in green innovation, green Belt and Road, energy transition and assessment of other climate and environmental policies in China. Her papers have been published on Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Climate Policy, etc. In the practice, she was also a core member in designing the initial policy of Hubei ETS Pilot in China. Her research has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Education of China and received several awards.
