My research in this field explores how tariff and non-tariff measures (NTMs) affect trade using novel datasets. While the tariff measures were intensively used in the trade war, NTMs are more subtle and routine and increase over time. Current topics include (1) estimating trade elasticities; (2) understanding the global supply chain with nuanced datasets.
