机械科学与工程学院教授，智能制造装备与技术全国重点实验室成员，国家数控系统工程技术研究中心成员。致力于机器人加工动力学与主动控制、多能场加工表面完整性研究。在《Transactions of the ASME - Journal of Manufacturing Science and Engineering》、《International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture》、《International Journal of Mechanical Sciences》等期刊发表SCI论文60余篇，获得授权国家发明专利20余项，软件著作权登记2项，成果获得转化；获得湖北省科技进步一等奖2项。
兼任国家自然科学基金委员会通讯评议专家，《International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture》、《International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology》、《Nonlinear Analysis - Hybrid Systems》等期刊的审稿人。
