医学博士，教授，博士生导师。国家自然基金一审、二审专家。长期从事儿童青少年体质健康、心理卫生与健康教育研究。近年来，作为负责人承担国家自然基金项目5项，教育部、卫生部项目15项，发表论文100余篇（其中SCI收录30余篇）。主编、副主编教材及专著20余部，获教育部科技进步二等奖和湖北省科技进步三等奖各一项。现为华中科技大学同济公共卫生学院儿少卫生与妇幼保健学系副主任，同济心理卫生中心副主任。担任中华预防医学会儿少卫生分会副主任委员、湖北省心理卫生协会副理事长兼秘书长、武汉健康管理学会副理事长、湖北省儿少卫生专业委员会主任委员、《中国学校卫生杂志》副主编、《中国健康心理学杂志》、《预防医学情报杂志》编委等。
