Lifu Zhang, Professor at the School of Physics, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He has published several papers as the first author (including co-authorship) in journals such as Nature, Nature Photonics, PRL, and JACS. He obtained his PhD degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States in 2022 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Maryland from 2022 to 2024. He was selected for the National High-Level Foreign Expert Recruitment Program in 2024.
The main research directions of his group currently include:
Magnetic-optical properties and quantum transport of twisted two-dimensional quantum materials under low temperature and strong magnetic fields.
Development of spintronic devices based on spin waves in low-dimensional quantum materials with strong spin-orbit coupling.
Light-matter interaction under pulsed strong magnetic field.
