Dr. Meng Zhan received his B.S. degree (1996) and Ph.D. degree (2001) both from Department of Physics, Beijing Normal University. From 2001 to 2004, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Computational Science and Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore. In the period from 2004 to 2006, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Chemical Physics Theory Group, Department of Chemistry, University of Toronto. In February 2006, he joined the Wuhan Institute of Physics and Mathematics (WIPM), Chinese Academy of Sciences, at Wuhan city as a full professor titled with “one-hundred-talents scholarship” of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Recently in March 2015, he joined the school of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). He has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers at the international journals of PRL, PRE, Plos one, EPL, Chaos, SIAM, etc. His current research fields include power system stability and control, power system dynamics, and network dynamics etc.
