Description of Research Group:Professor Gao Shangbang's team (Sensorimotor and Disease Mechanism Laboratory) uses molecular biology, electrophysiology, optogenetics and advanced optical imaging technology to study the neural circuits and molecular mechanisms of animal behavior, and the scientific research achievements have been valued and recognized by the peers.
Professor Gao Shangbang's team keeps close cooperation with the top research teams in relevant fields at home and abroad, and has established long-term cooperative partnerships with famous scholars such as University of Toronto and Harvard University, jointly cultivating many outstanding talents in professional fields.Professor Gao Shangbang's team is working on a deeper understanding of the neural circuits and mechanisms of sensorimotor, as well as the major frontiers of basic science in human health related to motor neuron diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
