王能超，博士，副研究员，硕士生导师。
2010、2017年分别获得华中科技大学电气与电子工程学院工学学士学位、工学博士学位。2014年9月至2016年9月，获留学基金委资助公派前往德国于利希研究中心联合培养。2017年6月至2019年10月获批“博士后创新人才支持计划”，进物理学博士后流动站开展研究工作。2019年11月至今，在华中科技大学电气与电子工程学院聚变与等离子体研究所工作。
从事磁约束聚变装置诊断与等离子体物理实验方面的研究，主要研究方向为托卡马克装置中外加共振磁扰动与宏观磁流体不稳定性的相互作用，产生外加共振磁扰动的新方法，三维边界等离子体物理。承担自然科学基金青年基金一项，重点研发计划子课题一项。
