Description of Publication: Biomimetic approaches have been developed to produce calcium phosphate with similar composition and/or structure with bone tissues. Template regulation and ionic substitution can endow calcium phosphate special properties and improve their interactivity with bone tissues. In this chapter, the recent progress on biomimetic ion-substituted calcium phosphate and its applications as calcium phosphate cements are reviewed
