Huan Liu, Female, Associate Professor of Thermal Engineering, 2016 science and technology star of Huazhong University of Science and Technology
Dr. Liu acquired her Ph.D. from SKLCC at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in December 2014. Then, Dr. Liu stayed on as a teacher in January 2015 and was soon promoted to promoted to associate professor in November 2016.
Currently, Dr. Liu’s main main research interests include
(1) Thermal conversion and other disposal ways of sludge-like solid waste,
(2) Hydrothermal carbonization of solid waste with high moisture content,
(3) Catalytic pyrolysis of biomass for bio-oil,
(4) Control of fouling/slagging/erosion during heat conversion process of solid fuel.
Dr. Liu has presided over by the National Natural Science Fund projects, National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth projects, special subject of Major Projects of Technology Innovation, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hubei province Key Laboratory Open Fund of Renewable Energy, and the Central University Innovation Fund, etc., and has been participate in major international cooperation project of National Natural Science Fund, the national key research projects, special major projects in Hubei province Technology Innovation, etc.
Moreover, Dr. Liu has published more than 50 academic papers in area I/Ⅱ journals of SCI (including 25 papers by the first author and corresponding author), one of which has won Distinguished paper for the 35th International Symposium (excellent paper award of the 35th International combustion conference), and has also entered ESI global hot spot and highly cited papers search.
Besides, Dr. Liu has guided graduate students to win National Scholarships, the special prize in the National Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Competition, the first prize in the National Renewable Energy Competition, and the humanities prize in the Dongyuan International Creative Competition for many times.
Additionally, Dr. Liu has undertaken the teaching work of "biomass energy utilization principle and technology" (undergraduate specialized course), "solid waste energy utilization principle and technology" (undergraduate specialized course), "biomass clean comprehensive utilization principle and technology" (graduate specialized course) and other courses.
