Research Field

2D NeuroElectronic Materials Group (2D NeuMat) focuses on the fundamental research and device realization of emerging two-dimensional electronic materials for neuromorphic perception and computing. Following an integrated “materials–devices–systems” approach, the group investigates the structural design, wafer-scale synthesis, and functional integration of 2D neuroelectronic materials with sensing, memory, and computing capabilities. Our team is dedicated to developing energy-efficient, highly integrated, and multimodal-responsive neuroelectronic materials and devices, aiming to drive key breakthroughs in machine vision, edge intelligence, and brain–machine interfaces. Research topics include memristive devices based on 2D materials, synaptic behavior modeling, optoelectronic synapses, polarization-sensitive vision chips, and 3D-integrated neuromorphic hardware architectures. With established collaborations with several world-class research institutions, the lab warmly welcomes motivated students and young researchers interested in 2D materials, memristors, and neuroelectronics to join us.
