Abstract: The rarely studied magnetic transition in phase-change materials (PCMs) isdiscussed. The Fe48Mo14Cr15C15B6Y2PCM with a novel magnetic transitionis prepared. The experimental results indicate that the magnetic properties ofthe amorphous and crystalline phases of Fe48Mo14Cr15C15B6Y2are significantlydifferent. The amorphousfilm exhibits a spin-glass behavior due to a disorderedatomic arrangement, while the crystallinefilm exhibits a ferromagnetic behaviorowing to its long-range ferromagnetic interaction. Thefindings provide importantinsights into magnetic PCMs, which can contribute to the rapid development andapplication of magnetic-transition-based devices.
