Description of Research Group:The Fluidized Bed and Biomass Research Group of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was established in the 1960s. It has been committed to basic theoretical research and technology development of fluidized bed and biomass, and has formed theoretical research with the support of technological innovation and patent implementation. In the field of fluidized bed and biomass technology, fruitful research has been carried out, and a series of important research results and inventions have been made, some of which have pioneered at home and abroad and reached the international advanced level.
The team currently has 3 professors, 3 associate professors (including 6 doctoral supervisors), 2 lecturers, 3 doctors, 23 doctoral students, and 41 master students. Since 1978, it has trained more than 150 doctoral and postgraduate students, and now works in many fields such as energy, environmental protection and chemical industry at home and abroad. The team is committed to a large number of research and development in fluidized bed and biomass combustion, gasification, liquefaction, etc. The main research and development work includes: gas-solid two-phase flow and heat transfer, gas-solid separation, coal and biomass Research on combustion, gasification, liquefaction, pollution control and computer monitoring, as well as fluidized bed boilers, high temperature flue gas furnaces, powder coal gasifiers, biomass gasifiers, liquefaction systems and their key components, main auxiliary machines Development of etc. The self-developed lower exhaust circulating fluidized bed combustion technology has been recognized as an original patented technology with Chinese characteristics by domestic and foreign counterparts, and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award.
