Abstract:
Compared with the single layer phase change material wall which only works in winter or summer,double layer phase change material wall can improve the indoor thermal environment as well as reduce the building energy consumption for the whole year. In order to optimize the structure of the double layer phase change material wall,TRNSYS was used to simulate the operating conditions of the double layer phase change material wall,with two different structure in winter and summer at air conditioned room in Wuhan. The results show that the two structures can effectively reduce the heat load in winter,and the effect is similar. While in summer,the decrease of the cooling load is significant when the phase change layer with higher phase change temperature is located on the indoor side of the wall,compared with on the outdoor side of the wall.
