Abstract:This paper presents a novel high voltage bootstrapped switch (HVBS) that can sample a 4.5V input signal using a triple-well 65nm CMOS process without any drain-extended NMOS. Based on this HVBS, we designed a 12-bit SuccessiveApproximation-Register (SAR) analog-to-digital conversion (ADC) with configurable input range that can convert input signals with a range of 1.2V and 4.5V. This ADC achieves a Signal-to-Noiseand-Distortion Ratio (SNDR) of 65.2dB with an input range of 4.5V operating at 500kS/s and 1.2V supply, making it suitable for battery management systems (BMS).
